Andy Makely

Andy Makely has been playing guitar for over 40 years, and has quite a track record in the Atlanta area. Andy has performed with the Atlanta Falcons band, and also played in a SportSouth house band for Atlanta Hawks home games. Andy was also member of the party band Picasso and the River Horns for many years, performing for packed suburban clubs. He then pursued a long-held desire to start a blues group, and the Andy Makely Band spent the next decade playing shows in some of Atlanta’s favorite blues venues, as well as appearing at local festivals and benefit shows.

Andy also plays jazz guitar for Metro Jazz Club, a full 25-piece jazz orchestra that performs in the Atlanta area.

Andy’s musical influences range from Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jeff Beck to Eddie Van Halen and Joe Satriani. He also loves jazz players such as Freddie Green, Joe Pass, and Al Dimeola.

Now Andy is the bandleader for R.A.D. and is very excited to be working with this great group of talented musicians.
